Desserts or breads cuddling cheese inside a wood hutch cabinet is a curse. I may not be a New Yorker but I do appreciate cheese. Who can resist cheese anyway? 

One time I happened to spot this dessert nook , JARA PETIT at Dhoby Gaut Xhange. I still cringe at the price , $3.30 each? Pricey for a minute cheesecup if you'll ask me. As a trial I bought 3 and paid about $9.50. They also have cheesecakes, cakes in a jar, etc. I believe this was started by two young entrepreneurs, sorry but am unable to get hold of their names. 

I got 3 flavours: Classic, Cookies & Cream, Banoffee.

As per JARA PETITE WEBSITE: A Cheesecup is a unique dessert created by Jara Petit, a hybrid between a cheesecake and a cupcake. They are convenient, portable and offer a wide selection of flavours at celebrations. Jara Petit Cheesecups are rich in flavor and light in texture, specially catered to Singaporeans’ preferences. They are hand-baked daily using premium cream cheese and fresh ingredients, without any added preservatives or artificial flavouring. 

✍Thoughts 

For the price I expected it to be creamy and pleasantly tart but it was just way too sweet for my liking.  Similar to cupcakes, they looked pretty decent and well-made but once stripped off its pretentions, it seemed chalky upon contact with my tongue. Light, yes but sadly it all stops there. 

Short and sweet. Like, literally sweet. 

I should've stick to some good ol ' donuts.
